Experiment 12.8
video

This is my first attempt of video with a sort of storyline progression. Before this, I had been using video-editing programs to cut and splice small homemade videos. The video succeeds in creating a mood and suspense, and I would like to explore video-editing some more in the future. This video is edited with Sony Vegas 9 and shot with a point-and-shoot camera. The concept of the video is to imitate an old scientific experiment video that you would see in horror movies.

William Reed
mock commercial

A commercial created for a fictitious brand of whiskey entering the market place. The target audience is men between the ages of 33-49 years old, with income levels between $40,000 to $90,000. As whiskey is a more traditional alcohol as compared to vodka and tequila, we decided the unique selling point should emphasize the history of the brand and it's creator, William Reed. Video quality is low, as we shot it with a regular point-and- shoot camera, but the concept is strong. Done for an advertising class.

Soccer Kick
frame-by-frame animation

Though this is created in Flash, each frame of this short animation is done one frame at a time. The only benefit I had using Flash in this project was that I can copy an entire frame, then paste it into the next frame then motify it, so I did not have to redraw every- thing every single time. The process was quite tedious and long, but the end result justified it. This animation is of a ball being kicked into a goalie's net. Sounds from this animation were found through Google.

Drawings
vectors

Drawing is never a strong skill of mine. I prefer to let an trained illustrator to create illustrations on any project I might be given. But sometimes, the budget is only so large and deadlines are short. Vector illustrations are fun, thanks technological advances where one can play around with the color spectrum with a few clicks of the mouse.
